The Alzheimer's Association California Central Coast Chapter serves Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo and Ventura Counties. We help all those facing Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias by providing support groups and educational resources, while advancing crucial research and public policy initiatives.
Our mission: To eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.

The Alzheimer’s Association provides care and support
The Alzheimer’s Association provides services to the Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo and Ventura County communities. Our support groups are led by local facilitators and are offered regularly. Our education programs for the general public, both online and in person, feature information on topics such as diagnosis, warning signs, communication, living with Alzheimer’s disease and caregiving techniques.

Area Agency on Aging Fresno / Madera
The Agency on Aging has been connecting older adults to information, resources, and services since 1980. We were created through a collaboration between Fresno County, Madera County, and the City of Fresno. We are one of 33 area agencies on aging in the state. The California Department of Aging has designated the area we serve, Fresno and Madera counties, as planning and service area 14.

Home-Delivered Meals
If you are homebound and have no one to help you with groceries or meals, call us at 559-600-4405 to find out about having meals delivered to your home.
Congregate Nutrition
Join friends, old and new, for lunch in your community. Choose a place to have lunch from the map below, or click here for a list of lunch sites.
Call the meal site by 11:00 a.m. the day before you plan to visit so a meal can be reserved for you. Donations are accepted, but if you’re 60 years of age or over, we’re happy to serve you, whether or not you choose to donate. We also welcome other guests for a small fee to cover the cost of the meal.
City of Madera
Dial-a-Ride tickets are available for seniors 60+ on Tuesdays at 9:00 am at the Frank A. Bergon Senior Center and Pan-American Community Center, there is a suggested donation per ticket book of $5.00. Limit of one (1) book of tickets (10 one way tickets) per person per week. Ticket book availability is first come, first serve, while supplies last.

To purchase Taxi Scrip, you must be at least 70 years old and live in Fresno County. Apply for Senior Taxi Scrip by visiting Fresno Council of Governments (Fresno COG) online or by calling (559) 233-4148 to receive an application in the mail.
Fresno Madera Area Agency on Aging (FMAAA)
Fresno Economic Opportunities Commission has developed a partnership with the Fresno, Madera Agency on Aging to provide transportation. Here is a list of approved Community Centers for meals, crafts and socializing:
